Filipino-American singer JR Aquino failed to advance to the next round of the hit American talent show “The Voice.”
Aquino was eliminated from the show last Monday (Tuesday in Manila) after he went up against Diego Val in the battle round.
Paired by mentor Cee Lo, Aquino and Val were asked to perform Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl.”
But despite his elimination, Aquino was still in high spirits as he thanked people who supported him while he was on the show.
“Thanks for all the love and support everyone! It doesn’t stop here! And hey, you can’t win them all! :) Still #TheKeenos & #TeamCeelo,” he tweeted.
Now that he is off the show, Aquino said he will now be doing “some work and touring.”
“I’ll be in Atlanta, NYC and Minneapolis this weekend,” he told his Twitter followers.
Aquino, who is basked in Alaska, also tried his luck on “American Idol Season 4″ but only made it to the top 44.
