A lady guard at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport has affirmed journalist Mon Tulfo’s claims against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto.

This is in connection with the altercation that happened at the Terminal 3 last May 6.

In the sworn statement of lady guard Eden Budejas, she said Santiago approached the journalist while he was taking a video.

Budejas said Santiago eventually asked for Tulfo’s camera but the columnist refused to give it.

She said she then saw a guy wearing a pink shirt, who was the first to attack Tulfo.

Santiago and Barretto, however, debunked these allegations.

They submitted their supplemental counter affidavit before the Pasay Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday in connection with the frustrated homicide charge filed by Tulfo against them.

According to Santiago and Barretto, they are not bothered by the frustrated homicide charge since Tulfo’s witness was not able to see the whole incident.

Barretto added that Tulfo’s witness was even standing from a distance and it is highly possible that she did not see the whole incident.

Tulfo did not appear before the prosecutor’s office today.

Some members of the blue guards and airport police who appeared as his witnesses were also there.

The next hearing is scheduled on July 10.
