Apart from the “American Idol” tour, the hit TV show’s runner-up Jessica Sanchez will also be going on a solo concert tour in the Philippines, according to a report published on Tuesday.
Jessica Sanchez sings “Stuttering” during the Top 7 week on “American Idol.”
Quoting a source, the Philippine Daily Inquirer said a local concert promoter was able to sign Sanchez for solo concerts in five different cities in the country.
“A source on Tuesday told the Inquirer that new FM station Radio High 105.9 will bring in the petite 16-year-old Filipino-American singing sensation for a solo concert tour in October in Manila, Bataan (her mother’s hometown), Baguio, Cebu and Davao,” the Inquirer reported on its website.
The report said Sanchez’s solo shows will be held after the September 21 concert of the Top 11 “Idol” finalists.
It was also previously reported that Sanchez is being eyed to be Jennifer Lopez’s front act when the international singer comes to the country for a concert in November.
In her past interviews, Sanchez said she has never been outside the U.S., and she is happy that her first overseas trip would be to her mom’s native country.
“I’ve never been out of the country before. To go to the Philippines for the first time, it must be amazing. I can’t wait,” she said.
