Concepcion has officially backed out of filming for VIVA Entertainment’s “Nothing Compares to You,” the film production company’s top official, Veronique del Rosario, confirmed to ABS-CBN News.
The Megastar’s daughter is currently busy juggling other commitments, including her hosting stint for the local version of singing competition “The X Factor,” and taping for her upcoming primetime series with young superstar Judy Ann Santos titled “Against All Odds.”
Curtis hopes that she will get another chance to work with Concepcion.
“Sabi ko nga, I totally understand her reason for backing out. But who knows, we’re both VIVA babies, so hindi imposible na magka-work kami ulit,” Curtis told ABS-CBN News on Friday.
Replacing Concepcion is young actress Andi Eigenmann, who will play the role of Curtis’ “frenemy” in the movie.

“We’re more than happy and super excited to welcome Andi Eigenmann as our new cast member for ‘Nothing Compares to You.’ Derek and I are very, very excited to work with her,” Curtis said of the casting of Eigenmann, who recently posted images of her test look for the film on microblogging site Twitter.
“I’m so excited for her because it is a very, very challenging role. So for her to accept it, I’m so proud of her. And it really is something that I know she can do,” Curtis added.
Early this month, Curtis revealed details on some characters in her upcoming film.
“Parang frenemies ang concept. Very, very light and charming. Maganda ‘yung storya kasi for me if ‘No Other Woman’ was something married women can relate to, this is something women our age can relate to,” she said at the time.
“No Other Woman,” Curtis’ previous film with Ramsay, went on to become the second highest-grossing Philippine film of all time.
“Nothing Compares to You” is slated for a release later this year. It is directed by Ruel Naval, one of the directors of ABS-CBN’s defunct top-rating series “Magkaribal.” — With a report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
