After a year-long “unofficial” romance that started with a tweet on the popular micro-blogging site, Younghusband on Monday said he and the award-winning actress officially became a couple in May this year.

“We’re officially together, like boyfriend and girlfriend. We’re happy. We fall more and more in love with each other. Love and happiness are really the words to describe our relationship. [We became a couple] a few weeks ago. It’s May 27,” Younghusband said during an event for a haircare line.

The Azkals heartthrob, however, said it is too early to talk wedding bells, as they still have individual goals in their respective careers.

“We’re very happy. It’s too early to plan that. I’ve always said I wanted to have a future with Angel but no plans of weddings yet. We’re in love but we have to work first and things like that. I look forward to more happiness with Angel,” he said.

Since their talk-of-the-town tweet exchange in February 2011, Younghusband and Locsin have openly expressed their admiration for each other, but have refused to confirm their status as an official couple.
