Television host Pia Guanio gave birth to her first child on Thursday.

Guanio and her husband, businessman Steeve Mago, welcomed their baby girl Scarlett Janine, who weighed 7.8 lbs at birth, some minutes before 1 a.m. on August 30.

The former Kapamilya host, who gave birth through caesarean section, expressed joy over finally becoming a mom.

“Nakaraos din, I’m so happy,” she said. “Merong time na akala ko hindi na mangyayari ‘yung manganganak na ako dahil sa tagal ng hinintay.”

A month before her 38th birthday last year, Guanio married Mago in a private ceremony in Ayala Alabang.

“Si Steeve naman super happy of course,” Guanio said of her husband. “At busy rin siya dahil siya ‘yung official photographer ng event!”

A day since giving birth, Guanio shared she hopes to get some rest from her daughter’s “partying.”

“Hopefully we can get some sleep. Mahilig siya pumarty all night long,” she said in jest.
