Prince of Comedy Vic Sotto confirmed a report that he decided not to get actress Kristine Hermosa as his leading lady for his new movie “Ang Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote”.

Hermosa is set to marry Oyo Boy, Sotto’s son with actress Dina Bonnevie.

In an interview during a press conference for the said movie, Sotto said that he would feel awkward working with Hermosa again knowing that she is going to be his daughter-in-law soon.

“Magiging asawa na (siya) ng anak ni Enteng Kabisote. I think magiging awkward ang dating kung siya pa din ang magiging Faye,” Sotto explained.

Hermosa played the role of Faye in past “Okey Ka, Fairy Ko: Enteng Kabisote” movies.

Sotto, who’s known for being private when it comes to his family and personal life, said that he’s happy for Oyo Boy and Hermosa, whom he described as a very nice woman.

He also supports the couple’s decision to keep their wedding private and simple. The wedding will be held at a resort in Batangas on January 11, 2011.

“Yes, mas simple, mas mabuti. I think we just have to respect ang decision nila,” Sotto said.

In the interview, Sotto also reacted to reports about a misunderstanding between his niece Sharon Cuneta and actor Aga Muhlach.

“Alam mo, wala ako dito ng naging usapin ‘yon. So pareho ko namang kaibigan ‘yon. Wala namang hindi naaayos sa pag-uusap. Konting usapan lang ‘yon kung anuman ‘yon. I’m not really fully aware of the situation,” Sotto said.

Sotto who has known Cuneta since she was young, also gave an unsolicited advice on how Muhlach can make it up to Cuneta.

“Kung may tampo-tampo man ‘yon, madaling ayusin si Shawie. Padalhan mo lang ng litson ‘yon, ayos na,” Sotto said.

Sotto also talked about veteran talent manager German Moreno who gave him his star on the “Walk of Fame Philippines,” the country’s version of Hollywood Walk of Fame, in Eastwood in Quezon City.

“In behalf of Tito and Joey, kaming tatlo ‘yon, TVJ, unfortunately we couldn’t be there to receive, pasasalamat kay Pareng Germs. Finally, famous na kami,” Sotto said.
