Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos said she maintains a good relationship with actress Jennylyn Mercado, girlfriend of her eldest son Luis Manzano.

Santos believes that Mercado is the person who is making her son “very happy.”

“As of now, he’s very happy. He is very happy. I think si Jen, inaalagaan siya ni Jen. She’s very nice, very nice at maganda ang communication namin ni Jen,” she said in an interview with “Bandila.”

“Iba magmahal ‘yon ng babae. At saka kapag nagmahal ‘yon, sorry anak ha – iniiyakan niya,” she added.

In her interview on “Kris TV” last Monday, Santos said she believes that Manzano is ready to settle down.

“Of course naman at saka mature na si Lucky (Manzano’s nickname). Noon lang naman kasi sinasabi ko [sa kanya] enjoy life and know your limitations. If you’re not ready, don’t take the risk. Kasi ang mahirap baka naka-disgrasya ka na, nakita mo ang totoo, eh mahihirapan ka.

“So take your time, enjoy it, but know your limitations. But I think now, my son is ready. My son is ready,” she said.

Santos is celebrating her 50th year in show business with a Star Cinema film titled “The Healing.”

Manzano, meanwhile, is the host of game show “Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal.”
