The youngest daughter of the late film icon Dolphy still feels her father’s presence in their home, four months since the veteran actor passed away.

“Nami-miss ko pa rin siya,” Zia Quizon told reporters on Tuesday at the Heritage Park in Taguig, where Dolphy’s remains lie.

Quizon was accompanied to the cemetery by her mother Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dolphy’s partner for 23 years, in anticipation of All Souls’ Day.

“Lalo na kasi na sa bahay pa kami, so parang nagwe-waking dream pa minsan [na nandoon siya], may feeling na nandoon pa rin siya, but I guess in a sense [he is there] in spirit,” Quizon added.

Dolphy passed away in July after a 5-year battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Talking with ‘lovey’

For her part, Padilla said she continues to communicate with her “lovey,” and asks him for guidance on some decisions.

“Everyday talagang hindi ko pinipigilan ‘yung dialogue namin, palagi ko siyang kinakausap. Normally in the mornings, para hindi naman buong araw, sabihin, ‘Sino kausap mo,’” she said, laughing.

“Lately [I ask him for] guidance lang na tama ‘yung mga decision, lalo na sa mga pinagbibilin niya,” Padilla added.

To honor Dolphy, Padilla said his resting place has been opened for public visits, especially on the occasion of All Souls’ Day.

“Talagang iniiwan namin na ‘yung puntod niya na bukas, kasi nung nabubuhay siya talaga namang people person si Dolphy, at alam namin talaga maraming gustong bumisita,” she said.
