A Moscow-initiated international conference on Syria should influence all Syrian warring parties to stop violence and begin negotiations between them, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after the negotiations with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari on Friday.

“We discussed the Russian initiative for a conference on Syria. We are interested in bringing together all foreign players to negotiate the policy of influence on all Syrian warring parties in one direction, particularly to stop violence and get down to the negotiating table,” Lavrov underlined.
