King grants relief packages to flood victims in Ayutthaya

His Majesty the King on Friday granted relief packages to flood victims in the old capital of Ayutthaya.

Rajaprachanukroh Foundation chairman Dissathorn Watcharothai represented His Majesty the King in distributing 2,000 bags of basic necessities to Ayutthaya residents at Wat Bandai Chang and Wat Samkor in Sena district and at Bang Ban School in Bang Ban district.

Eight subdistricts of Sena district were flooded from water overflowing from the Noi River, affecting 3,259 households, two temples, one mosque and one school.

The agricultural areas were not severely damaged by the flood as there were only 200 rai of paddy field with out of season rice awaiting harvest early next week.
