A man was stabbed to death late Monday night at a northwest valley apartment complex after an argument escalated into a fight, Metro Police said.

The stabbing occurred about 10:50 p.m. in the 400 block of North Orland Street.

Police said a fight broke out after two males began to argue with the victim. The victim’s father tried to help his son and pulled one of the assailants off him to find his son had been stabbed, police said.

The two males fled the apartment complex, and the victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
