A Las Vegas woman was killed in a rollover accident in North Las Vegas early Monday evening, according to North Las Vegas Police.

Officers responded to the 8100 block of Aliante Parkway just north of Grand Teton Drive at about 7:30 p.m. on a report of a single vehicle rollover crash.

A 2002 Infiniti SUV was traveling northbound on Aliante Parkway when it left the road and rolled over into some gravel, said police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon.

The driver — who was the sole occupant — was ejected from the vehicle and in critical condition when officers arrived. The 38-year-old woman was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma center where she died a few hours later, Coon said.

The accident is still under investigation. It is unknown how or why the vehicle left the road. Police are trying to determine if drugs, alcohol or speeding were factors in the crash.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the crash victim pending notification of next of kin.
