An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Samar, Philippines at 13:09:29 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 60.20 km, was initially determined to be at 11.9541 degrees north latitude and 125.7323 degrees east longitude.
