The military here announced the holding of the entrance examination for the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in various areas of Mindanao on Sunday, August 26.
Major Rosa Maria Christina Manuel, executive officer of the 10th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, said successful examinees will have the chance to become future leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines by undergoing free collegiate education on military science at the PMA, Fort Gregorio Del Pilar, Baguio City.
She said the PMA exam will be held at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) in Barangay Obrero, Davao City, Agusan National High School in Butuan City, Camp Evangelista gymnasium at the 4th Infantry Division Headquarters in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao Polytechnic College in General Santos City, Notre Dame of Tacurong in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat and Notre Dame for Boys in Cotabato City.
Manuel said examinees must have an average of 85 percent in high school.
“They must bring No. 2 pencil, birth certificate from the National Statistics Office, marriage contract of parents also from the NSO (National Statistics Office), high school diploma and form 137 card, transcript of records for college students, one by one and two by two identification pictures and any valid ID,” she said.
Manuel said examinees must be between 18 to 21 years old and must not turn 22 on April 1, 2013.
She said female and male examinees must have the height of at least five feet.
“They must be at the venue before 8 a.m. for the registration,” Manuel said.
