Cebu-based Greenovate Corp. is offering Cebuanos what they said was an alternative and affordable way of building houses through its Green Home product, an executive said.
Pinky Sy, Greenovate Corp. manager, said the company is introducing an environment-friendly innovation that uses pre-fabricated materials in building houses that cater across all markets.
The company said Green Home uses environment-friendly designs and affordable construction materials in building houses.
It said that with the product, people get that chance to own a sustainable, eco-friendly home that allows occupants to save on electricity and water.
Green Home consultant architect Maria Lourdes Martinez Onozawa said the good thing about the project is that the company is selling a good lifestyle as it looks for ways of building homes in harmony with nature.
Ted Avendanio, Green Home marketing and sales group head, said the product is no longer new as there are already existing markets that want to shift to greener lifestyle.
He, however, said re-education is needed to increase awareness of people about living a green lifestyle.
Avedanio said the cost of building a pre-fabricated home is lower than the conventional house and has a shortened construction period. On the average, Avedanio said the company can complete building a house in three to four months.
He said Greenovate is in negotiations with local developers interested in integrating the system into their own developments.
