Some 11,400 jobseekers were employed this year through various job fairs conducted by the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) based on its report to Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog.

The chief executive was elated as the year 2010 has been very good because of the many work opportunities for Ilonggos.

“A lot of private companies hired jobseekers that flock to our job fairs, giving them stable jobs and salaries and the chance to work abroad,” Mabilog said.

He assured the city government’s support to all initiatives that will promote employment generation.

Mabilog said it is one of his administration’s priorities to provide jobs for every Ilonggos and to further activities that will create opportunities for work, either locally or abroad.
