The three-day Small and Medium Enterprises Caravan and Made in Negros Oriental Festival (MNOF) successfully culminated Thursday afternoon with a photography competition among elementary school pupils in this city.
The theme of the photo competition is based on the products and services displayed by exhibitors during the festival held at Robinsons Place shopping mall atrium here.
The activity was spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Negros Oriental to encourage the participation of the different schools as photography can also become an income-generating business.
Marie Monica Galera of Foundation University won first place and received a gift and a certificate from the DTI.
The other two winners were Shakia Domini Tan of Catherina Cittadini Elementary School and Andrea Jean Orevillo from the ABC Learning Center. The two winners each received a token and certificate from the DTI.
Angeline Gonzalez of DTI-Negros Oriental thanked the exhibitors, parents and teachers of the participating elementary schools for their cooperation and support in the caravan and photo contest.
Gonzalez said the activity impressed DTI Secretary Gregory Domingo during his visit in the province early this week.
